What we collect
For buyers: name, email address, budget range, sector preferences, and any other criteria you share with us. We also collect basic usage data (page views, browser type) via analytics.
How we use your information
Your information is used to understand what you are looking for, source relevant opportunities, and follow up with you directly. We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Who we share it with
Your information may be shared with vetted advisors (lawyers, accountants, financing experts) where relevant to your search, and only with your knowledge. We do not share your data with third parties without your consent. We use Supabase (EU-hosted) for data storage and may use Resend for transactional email.
Business sellers
If you are a business owner whose listing appears on Bottega, whether submitted directly or sourced from a public third-party platform, your data is handled with care. Information used to describe your business is used solely to present your business to relevant buyers. Seller contact details and sensitive information are shared only with buyers who have signed a confidentiality agreement. If you would like your data updated, contact privacy@bottegaventures.com and we will action it promptly.
Data retention
Buyer data is retained for 24 months from your last interaction with us. You may request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@bottegaventures.com.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also object to processing or request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@bottegaventures.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Cookies
We use session cookies required for the platform to function. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. Analytics data is aggregated and not linked to individual users.
